More performance? Quicker, more reliable steering? Affordable price? Now you can have it all with JConcepts’ new aluminum steering bellcranks for your RB6 and RT6 (soon?). I remember back in the day when everyone ran servo savers or plastic servo horns, plastic steering racks, plastic bellcranks etc…. was all because racers wanted to protect the servos from stripping gears. Since those early days, servo technology has improved and are a lot more durable than before and has now resulted in racer running stiffer steering systems. Although personally, I think its not good to run a completely aluminum setup as servo’s can still and will get damaged under hard crashes or impacts. In addition, it makes for a very, very twitchy ride if you have the servo arm in aluminum, the steering rack in aluminum, bellcranks in aluminum…. there just isn’t any room for flex or give. That is why most pros will run a plastic rack or a plastic servo arm just to give the system 1 piece of forgiveness in an event of a heavy crash.

It is very nice to see JConcepts come out with an upgrade that is affordable and blingy. Well at least more affordable than the Kyosho aluminum part at $26.49 off of Amain. The black set looks very enticing. Might have to try these bad boys out!

JConcepts has the steering system on the Kyosho RB6 and RT6 covered with an all new light-weight, aluminum steering bell-crank pair. A servo saver-less aluminum steering system is CNC-machined and replaces the stock plastic bell-cranks. The steering bell-cranks are available in a blue or black anodized finish and sport machined chamfered silver edges and engraved JC logos. The aluminum, light-weight assembly provides a more rigid steering system with increased steering feel and response. The fit of the new bell-cranks has been improved by the positioning to help eliminate binding when assembled.
